Maria João Dias

Partner at Durham Agrellos. Her professional activity is centered on mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, contract negotiation, and corporate group restructurings. With over 20 years of experience, in addition to her work as a lawyer, she held the role of Head of Legal, Corporate and M&A at Sonae Capital, one of the largest Portuguese companies.

She regularly authors articles on corporate and transport law subjects, and participates in seminars and conferences in this area.

She holds a Law Degree from the University of Porto, and a Master’s Degree in Law from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She has a Postgraduate Degree in Corporate Law from the University of Coimbra and another Postgraduate Degree in Transport Law from the University of Lisbon. She is currently concluding her PhD at the University of Coimbra, focusing on Family Businesses.
